I'm new to this whole blogging thing, and this is my first official post on my travel blog. Shortly, I'll board my flight to Johannesburg, and the following day will fly to Lesotho. I will spend the next four weeks volunteering with Touching Tiny Lives in Mokhotlong, Lesotho. This is an organization that provides medical care and education to families of children with HIV and AIDS, and aims to reduce the transmission of the disease from mother to child during pregnancy.
My classmate, Tiana, who is going into pediatrics will be with me on this adventure. She is pictured with me below.
I am looking forward to chronicling what is sure to be an eye-opening experience on my blog. I'd love to hear from you as I embark on this adventure. Many pictures and stories to come!
